a carrion beetle earring clasping a turquoise droplet

August 18, 2008

The form of a miniature, stylised black carrion beetle has been exquisitely carved of onyx and strung from a silvery needle to form this unique piece. Dangling upside-down, the beetle’s delicate front legs clasp together and cradle a droplet of misty turquoise which spins and refracts light and shadow mystically. Its ridged carapace is veined with tendrils of silver, and its slender back legs wound into elegant, twisted knots. Engraved onto the back of the earring is a tiny, intricate pinion.

a delicate onyx hoop adorned with a black pearl

August 18, 2008

Glistening darkly, a delicate thread of onyx has been fashioned into a tiny hoop meant to coil exquisitely about the piercing. From it, a tiny black pearl is suspended, the orb shimmering in nacreous ornamentation. Though dainty, this adornment is both an elegant and sensual accent upon the body.
