a niveous bracelet of glass bells

March 21, 2009

Small clusters of whispering glass orbs are strung together on a delicate braid of silver, dangling together as darkly musical charms. Each glass circle unfolds into a tiny bell, its surface reflecting or refracting light and shadow just enough so that its inner workings are concealed. Dusted betwixt the fragile clusters are small motes of silver, adding a metallic resplendence to the piece. Upon one of the bells is engraved the symbol of a tiny, intricate pinion.

a barbed bracelet of instrument strings

September 12, 2008

Innumerable tiny coils of flexible metal have been looped together repeatedly, creating a tightly-wrapped, tarnished bracelet. In places, the instrument strings have become weathered and partially undone, garnering the entire piece with tiny barbs of sharp, gleaming wire. Adorning the centre of the bracelet’s strands is a dark iron plate with a small opening beneath through which the wires thread themselves. Upon the flat plate, a gruesome mask of comedy and tragedy has been painstakingly etched, and on the reverse, an intricate pinion has been stamped into the metal.

a black lace corsetta bracelet

August 18, 2008

The pinnacle of elegance, this wrist corsetta begins at mid-forearm and binds the arm in a dark motif of fine-needle lace. An ethereal dusting of onyx embellishes the silk threads, lending just a touch of shimmer so as not to be gaudy, but exquisite. The lace tapers slenderly into a sharp point atop the hand, onto which is sewn an onyx hook and chain to loop the corsetta about the middle finger, holding it in place. Atop the onyx chain is a solitary garnet smoothed into a perfect orb, which sits just on the middle finger of the wearer when worn. Within the orb, a miniature panorama of Nil is reinvented, magnified when held closely to the eye.

a spindly vertebrae bracelet

August 18, 2008

A series of twisted bone fragments resembling vertebrae comprise this grimly melodic bracelet, which jingle and clank together in hollow murmurs at the slightest movement. In a conflagration of bone forms, some aged and others pure and ivory smooth are linked together with preserved weaves of ligament and vein, gruesome and yet artistic. One link hangs solitary from the others, a talisman charm of sorts that is carved into a miniature sceptre, burnished to an ethereal white hue. On the inside of the talisman is engraved the symbol of a tiny, intricate pinion.

a silk bracelet strung with orbs of smoky quartz

August 18, 2008

Two delicate, nearly ethereal tendrils of black silk are wound loosely about one another to bind elegantly about the wearer’s wrist. Strung intermittently upon the strands are dark globes of quartz, smoky motes glimmering within like an eldritch constellation. The orbs spin ponderously, their smooth surfaces reflecting upon one another and clinking together as the wearer moves, emitting dark, musical whispers. A tiny, intricate pinion has been engraved onto the bottom of one of the orbs.

a serpentine clockwork bracelet

August 18, 2008

Sinuous, stylised gears within a framework of slender steel rods comprise the form of this delicate, elegant bracelet. Graven sigils, minute and sharp-edged, line the curving spine of this serpentine construct, doing nothing to detract from the flowing, organic lines of the metal. Rubies, blood red and glittering with silent menace, sit on either side of the clockwork bracelet’s head. A tiny, intricate pinion has been engraved on the inside of the bracelet.

a tarnished bracelet of golden tendrils

August 18, 2008

Diaphanous tendrils of the finest gold are intertwined to form this delicate bracelet. Spun into a meticulous yet unfathomable pattern, the sinuous weaving is embellished with tiny motes of golden beads, these interspersed randomly and eliciting soft whispers of clinking amidst movement. The tendrils and beads bear the signs of antiquity, gracefully tarnished but nonetheless exquisite. A tiny, intricate pinion has been engraved into one of the beads.
